There are many different types of meditation practices. Fundamentally, meditation is a process of allowing everything to be as it is. The two main branches of meditation practice are either based on having a convergent focus or a divergent focus of attention. The former involves putting your attention on something particular like the breath while the latter is a practice of non-doing or non-focus.
